Eye Exams

Changes in vision can be very subtle, free of painful symptoms, and go completely unnoticed. It has been said that eyesight is the most precious of the five senses. Yet some of us do not have eye health examinations regularly. The consequences can be devastating. Regular examinations by an optometrist are the best way to detect eye health problems, such as cataracts and glaucoma, in time for effective treatment. Even if an exam reveals no serious eye health problems, regular exams will help you determine if your vision has changed and will ensure your prescription provides you with the clearest vision possible.

Londonderry Eye Care has six Doctors of Optometry. All are licensed, highly qualified, experienced, dedicated and caring. Doctors of optometry diagnose, treat and assess ocular health as well as determine if vision correction is needed.

They will routinely evaluate your vision by completing the following:

  • Complete ocular and medical history
  • Binocular vision evaluation
  • Visual acuity
  • Refraction for glasses
  • Internal and external ocular examination for the detection of eye disease
  • Eye pressure measurement

In addition to the above tests, our optometrists have the expertise to evaluate:

  • Color vision ability
  • Depth perception
  • Peripheral vision ability
  • Contact lenses
  • Retinal imaging
  • Visual field measurements to monitor for glaucoma, stroke and other neurological impairments
