The Importance of Quality Eye Care | Londonderry Eye Care

April 8, 2016

At one time, people knew their neighbours, bought from the shop downtown, sometimes from that same neighbour. Today, big box stores and online business grows at a steady pace each year. When it comes to something as important as your sight, price alone should not be the deciding factor.

Doctors of Optometry receive a Bachelor of Science Degree as well as a Doctor of Optometry degree (7 – 8 years of post secondary education). They’re specially trained to diagnose and treat vision conditions—nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and so on – and to provide some of the general eye-health services that ophthalmologists do, such as checking the eyes for cataracts, glaucoma, and retinal disease and helping to treat those conditions. They can prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, low-vision aids, and some eye-related medications. They do not perform surgery.”

Londonderry Eye Care employs some of the finest optometrists in Edmonton, each with a unique background and history that contributes to their compassionate attitude toward patient care. Here’s a little bit about your Londonderry Eye Care neighbours.
