What to expect for your appointment

It is important to us that you feel as comfortable as possible during your visit with Londonderry Eye Care. For your eye exam it would be beneficiary to bring your most recent eyeglasses as well as a list of any medications you are taking. We start by having our optometric assistants take your measurements before the actual exam. This involves refraction and intraocular pressures. The optometrist will then assess the health of your eyes, and based on that may want to see you again for a follow up appointment. For a follow up your optometrist may want to have you dilated; if so you will need driver and sunglasses as you may be light sensitive and have blurry vision. At the end of your exam, the doctor will explain your prescription to you and any other concerns, such as referrals for any eye health issues.
